Creating an Enterprise Culture in YOUR school

An ideal way to kick start your Enterprise responsibility is to firstly introduce ALL of your teaching staff to this NEW concept. As you know, being enterprising is about attitude, application, vision and most importantly mind-set.

With Enterprise Education becoming statutory and WRL a current focus, Bright Futures and the
“ World of Enterprise” have developed a series of high impact programmes that are designed to
Excite, Inspire and Educate.

Bright Futures and The World of Enterprise have developed a brand new professional development programme for teachers that can be delivered as either a full, half day or even a twilight inset.

The programme can be run in-school or off site to suit individual requirements and objectives.

This programme has been designed to offer total flexibility and can be incorporated within an inset already planned.

The programme is activity based and has been designed to:

1) Explain and introduce what Enterprise really means, in a practical and informative way.
2) Get staff working in mixed faculty groups to break down interdepartmental barriers and improve communications.
3) Demonstrate the differences between commercial and social enterprise.
4) Allow staff to question “how enterprising am I?”.
5) Use a series of activities to motivate staff throughout the whole programme

To date, Bright Futures and The World of Enterprise have delivered their full day Enterprise Experience to circa 50,000 students 14-16 in the UK. This teacher programme has been developed as a result of our success in schools so far.
